It is all a process, Tiger.

What’s Your Mantra?
Have you ever watched Winnie the Pooh?
I have a dear friend, Andrea, who encompasses everything about Tigger—bouncy, bold, and full of energy. Being around her gave me the gift of seeing what kind of Tigger I could be.
Recently, I had a beautiful consult with Kristie of Earthschooling about temperaments. It turns out, I’m also a Tigger—with a touch of Winnie the Pooh’s sweetness and just a dash of Rabbit’s careful logic. That conversation helped me better understand my Sanguine/Phlegmatic personality, and gave me more tools to meet others where they are.
When I work with different students—especially one-on-one—I think it’s so valuable to understand how people think, how they act, and what makes them feel seen.
Every day, I remind myself:
Each of us has a different right.
A different concept.
A different route from here to there.
But first, I have to remember:
We are all stones from the same mountain.
Then comes the work—learning their language. Listening deeply.
And when I hit those tough moments—when I can’t quite listen, or when I’m just plain being stubborn—I turn to my mantras.
💠For the Tigger in me (when I’m overwhelmed):
This too shall pass.
💠For the Pooh in me (when I need patience):
It’s all a process.
I have to say these to myself often. For my sanity. For my growth. For my students.
So let me ask you:
🌀 What’s your mantra?
🌀 How do you make the effort to know yourself—and the teacher-students all around you?
🌀 How do you put the pieces of life together?
For me?
One stone at a time.
