Yoga Sign

So, this is a quick pic of the new yoga sign.

My first sign :) Wiiiippiiitttiii!!!!!!

It faces Fayetteville Street, which is the main street in downtown Raleigh. I’m one block from the courthouse and literally smack in the center of it all.

It’s been a crazy few weeks, and I still can’t believe I have a studio. I can only hope the best comes out of this. It’s always a little nerve-wracking starting a business, and yes, times are tough, but sometimes when the opportunity arises, you just have to take it.

I never pictured myself working in a city, in corporate America. Well, I’m not actually in corporate America, but I’m definitely within its boundaries.

Cities are so fast-paced — work, work, work. Fluorescent lighting and concrete buildings. Less trees, less green, more fumes :(

Then it hit me…

I’m creating this little oasis, right in the center of downtown, and I hope people can truly feel like they can escape here. The lighting is dim, there are aromatherapy oils in the air, and I hope to always greet everyone with a smile.

The timing feels right.

When I opened my skincare studio in Florida, it all came together in two weeks — and boom, there it was. It just happened. Everything fell into place.

The same goes for this studio. Two weeks — and here it is. And once again, it’s September. Must be a good karma month!

All of the objects I had in storage just fit perfectly into the space, like it was meant to be. The colors are strong and bold — I chose them to reflect the unique space, because, well, I’m in a bank vault.

The doors are soooo thick and strong. It’s a very interesting theme. Please come check it out.

I’ve also been fortunate to grow closer to a few of my students during this time. They’ve been so supportive and wonderful, and I’m soooo grateful.

I wish them nothing but the best in life.

Thank you :)
