🌿 Summer SPINE Practice with Madrina 🌿r/> Theme: Muscles & the Seeds We Sow
This Madrina-led session centered on cultivating muscle awareness through intentional breath and movement, aligning with the energies of summer and the element of fire as understood in Chinese Medicine. Summer invites us to tune into the heart, acknowledge the emotion of joy, and transmute that heat into vitality and balanced strength.
The practice began with a reflection on this season’s deeper meaning — a time of expansion, warmth, and transformation — paired with grounding breathwork to plant intentions like seeds.
We explored a series of muscle-focused stretches and exercises, including:
🌀 Neck and shoulder release to dissolve tension
🦶 Feet activation for stability and root connection
🔥 Core engagement to stoke inner fire without burnout
🦵 Leg-focused yoga poses to build strength and endurance
Throughout, we emphasized proper form, mindful breath, and moving energy up and out — harmonizing the physical with the emotional body.
The session closed with relaxation techniques and an invitation to rest in the space of the heart. Participants were encouraged to share feedback and suggest which muscle groups they’d love to focus on in future gatherings.
Remember, your breath is a muscle, and your body is a garden — what you tend to, grows.
