S – Space
In this practice, we created space across the chest and hips — opening the front body for deeper breath and softening tension in the low back. This spaciousness reminds us that power isn’t about force, but about allowing energy to move freely through the body.
P – Physical Body
By working the lats and balancing the lumbar spine, we relieved strain in the neck and shoulders — areas often taxed when stress hormones run high. This practice supported the endocrine system by giving the adrenals, thyroid, and nervous system a reset, reminding the body of its natural rhythm.
I – Intention
Our intention: to return to center, just as Late Summer in TCM calls us back to Earth. In this pause between seasons, we listen inward. The endocrine system mirrors this: small, steady whispers guiding our growth and balance. Tonight, we set the intention to trust those whispers.
N – Nature & Nutrition
The Earth season reminds us to ground with nourishing foods and slow movements, to metabolize not just meals but emotions and experiences. Just as the spleen and stomach transform harvest into vitality, we transform space in the hips and chest into stability and strength.
E – Emotions
When the Earth element is steady, worry dissolves into trust. Tonight’s sequence reminded us that power is not held in tightness but in openness. Releasing the neck, chest, and hips teaches us that true power flows when we let go of holding patterns and return to balance.
✨ Closing thought:
Late Summer whispers: your power is in your center. With each breath that opens your chest, each hip that finds space, each neck that feels lighter — you return to the Earth of yourself, balanced, steady, and strong.
